Cookie policy

Information on the use of cookies and similar technologies on everytrophy.com, in accordance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. It is used to remember information between pages or between visits: from your language preference to tracking your browsing behaviour for statistical or advertising purposes.

2. Cookies this site uses

Analytics only, and only if you accept them. everytrophy.com uses Google Analytics 4 to see which guides get read and from which countries, so as to decide what to write next. The controller of these cookies is Google Ireland Limited. Until you accept, the browser keeps them blocked in advance: Analytics cannot write them, and they are only installed the moment you press Accept. They are:

• _ga — Google Ireland Limited. Distinguishes unique visitors. Declared lifetime: 2 years, though browsers shorten it on their own.
• _ga_XG27W22S99 — Google Ireland Limited. Keeps session state as you move from page to page. Declared lifetime: 2 years.
• None beyond these. There are no first-party cookies, no advertising ones, no social media ones, no affiliate ones and no session ones.

3. What third-party requests there are

Apart from Google Analytics, your browser contacts no other external server when you visit EveryTrophy: the fonts, the game images, the icons and all the code are served from our own domain. No other third party receives your IP address or knows which pages you visit here. And if you decline measurement, Analytics does not identify your visit either.

The one obvious exception is when you click an external link: from that moment you are on the destination site and its own cookie policy applies, over which we have no control.

4. Technical browser storage

The site stores a single piece of data in your browser's localStorage: whether you accepted or declined measurement, so it does not ask again on every page. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to any server, and it serves neither to identify you nor to track your behaviour. You can change that decision whenever you like from the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

5. How to manage cookies in your browser

Beyond this site's own notice, you can review and delete the cookies from everytrophy.com — and from any other site — through your browser at any time:

• Google Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data.
• Mozilla Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data.
• Safari: Preferences › Privacy › Manage Website Data.
• Microsoft Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions.

Bear in mind that blocking all cookies may stop other websites that do rely on them from working properly.

6. If this changes in the future

EveryTrophy does not currently use advertising, ad personalisation, social media, affiliate or session cookies: the site has no user accounts. Should any of those tools ever be added, the same conditions already met for measurement would apply:

• A prior consent banner would be shown with real options to accept, reject and configure, with rejecting as accessible as accepting.
• No cookie that is not strictly necessary would be installed before obtaining your consent.
• This page would be updated with the details of every cookie: name, owner, type, purpose and retention period.
• You would be able to withdraw your consent at any time as easily as you gave it.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the rules or new features on the site. The last updated date appears at the foot of the page.
