Where Players Quit Forza Horizon 6

The biggest drop in the whole game is 8.20 points: Forza Horizon 6 does not have a quitting point, it has a slope. We analysed all 57 achievements across 53,208 Xbox and PC players to see how an open world with no ending behaves.

There is no cliff: the biggest drop in the game is 8.20 points

In a campaign game the curve has a clear step: the moment you have to start a second run, or the boss that stalls people halfway down the list. Here there is none. The biggest drop in all of Forza Horizon 6 is 8.20 points, between "Bargain Hunt" (75.62%) and "Blank Slate" (67.42%). Buying a used car and buying the Yashiki house. Not difficulty, not a wall: money.

And it is not that the rest of the jumps land nearby by coincidence. The eight biggest drops in the game all fit between 8.20 and 3.65 points. Not one of them clears ten. When the biggest step in a list of 57 achievements is eight points, what you are measuring is not a quitting point: it is a constant trickle.

The third biggest slide is in fact the very first step of all: from 100.00% ("Welcome to Japan", completing the opening act) to 93.32% ("First of Many", the first qualifier). 6.68 points gone before the first real race. That is the profile of an open world: whoever gets off, gets off early or never gets off at all.

Fact

In practical terms: no single achievement decides whether you finish Forza Horizon 6. The list never throws you out anywhere, it just lets you go little by little.

The curve does not break on difficulty, it breaks on the calendar

If no individual drop explains the quitting, you have to look at blocks of content. And there the data is overwhelming. Five of the ten groups sit above 50% and very close together: events average 57.38% (and with 14 achievements they are the biggest block in the game), wristbands 56.99%, stories 55.76%, cars 53.37% and stamps 52.20%.

And then there is Horizon Play: 9.81% average across its 4 achievements, with a minimum of 2.24%. It is the only block that detaches completely from the rest, and it shares nothing with them except one thing: it is the one that depends on the seasons.

This is where the difference from a story game shows. In Forza Horizon 6 there are no missable achievements and none hidden: all 57 can always be earned and the map never closes. That means no drop on this curve can be blamed on a player mistake or on content that slipped past them. All it measures is how long people stay. And seasonal content asks for weeks, not hours.

The second slide is in the tail, not at the start

The game's second biggest drop is 7.39 points, but it does not happen where you would expect. It runs from "Storyteller" (13.19%, 81 stars in Stories) to "The Boss" (5.80%, the maximum promotion on an Assignment). That is, it happens between 13.19% and 5.80%: already deep into the tail, among people with dozens of hours in.

Assignments are the best example of that fracture. They are only 2 achievements, with an average of 33.33% and a minimum of 5.80%: half the world has the first and almost nobody has the second. Something similar happens with exploration (average 43.43%, minimum 14.14%) and with destruction (average 42.57%, minimum 16.43%): blocks that start out comfortable and end in collector territory.

The contrast comes from closing out the Festival. "Horizon Legend", the gold wristband, is still held by 30.97%, and the step separating it from "To The Moon" (34.62%) is just 3.65 points. One in three tracked players closes out the Festival's main progression. What almost nobody does is stay for the weeks the calendar asks for. The two social achievements, incidentally, form the second lowest group in the game by average (20.94%, minimum 20.12%) despite not requiring you to compete against anyone: they are not hard, you just have to remember to do them.

The full table you can reproduce any calculation on this page from. The «drop» column is the difference in points against the previous trophy that counts towards the platinum: the big steps are where people stop playing. Trophies marked separate are from DLC or from side modes that are not needed for the platinum, so they do not chain a drop — mixing them in would compare steps from different playthroughs.

Where these numbers come from

Unlock rate for the 57 achievements in Forza Horizon 6, measured across 53,208 tracked players. Snapshot source: Exophase (Xbox and PC), consulted on 21 August 2026. The most common achievement is "Welcome to Japan" at 100.00%, and it is the reference everything else is read against.

An important warning about order: Forza Horizon 6 has no linear campaign. It is an open-world driving game where you progress through events, cars and seasons, so the achievement list is not chronological. When we talk here about a "drop" between two achievements, it means they sit next to each other once sorted by percentage, not that one comes after the other. They measure distance in interest, not in script.

And the usual warning about the sample: these are players who use an achievement tracker, more motivated than average. The real percentages across all of Xbox and PC are probably lower. The proportions between achievements, which is what we analyse, are unaffected.

Why these figures do not compare with PlayStation ones

Forza Horizon 6 is the only game we measure that does not come out on PlayStation. It is Xbox and PC, so there are no trophies here: there are achievements, and the goal is 100% completion. That is not just a change of vocabulary, it also changes what the figure can be compared against.

The measured population is a different one. These 53,208 players come from the Xbox and PC ecosystem, with its own mix of subscription, catalogue and playing habits, and with a different tracker from the one that feeds the PS5 lists. Do not put this game's 2.24% next to the platinum rate of a PlayStation game and draw a conclusion: they are two samples collected neither in the same way nor from the same people.

There is also a structural difference. On PlayStation there is a final trophy that marks 100% and works as an anchor for reading the tail of the curve. Here there is none: 100% completion in Forza Horizon 6 means holding all 57 achievements, and the floor of the list is simply set by the rarest achievement. Inside this study every comparison is internal — achievement against achievement, group against group — precisely because of that.
