Where Players Quit Saros
34.3% finish the story and 7.3% take the platinum: for a roguelite, two very high figures. We analysed all 54 trophies across 20,709 players to explain why the eight bosses do not break the curve.

The eight bosses are a slope, not a staircase: no jump exceeds 9 points
A roguelite with eight Overlords invites you to expect a curve with eight steps. There are none. The bosses run from Prophet's 64.0% to the King's 34.4%, and the biggest jump between two consecutive ones is the 9.2 points between Prophet and Bastion. After that: 3.6, 4.5, 4.1, 3.2, 2.1 and 2.9 points. From the second boss onwards nobody quits Saros over a boss.
There is a design reason behind it: Bastion is the one that unlocks the Carcosan Modifiers and, with them, the unlimited protections option in the settings, which blocks no trophy. Whoever gets past the second biome has the means to make the rest trivial.
The biggest drop on the whole curve is not even a boss: it is the 15.2 points between Come Back Stronger, dying for the first time (94.7%), and Relentless, 50 consecutive rifle hits (79.5%). That is the entry toll: people who try the first cycle and never come back.
Bastion, the second boss, is the one that opens the modifiers: it is the game's last real barrier, 9 points below the first. Everything after it drops under five.
A third finish the story and one in five of those platinum
The Blazing Throne, the credits, is held by 34.3%. For a roguelite that is a very high completion rate, and the explanation is the same as before: nothing depends on luck, there are no difficulty settings and the modifiers block no trophies.
From there to the platinum's 7.3% there are 27 points, spread across trophies that ask for time, not skill. Let Go, the true ending, sits at 22.4%: a third of those who see the credits do not know there is an epilogue or finish the King out of habit. Nightmare Strands, the seven gates, at 18.9%. Full Arsenal, 25 kills with 19 weapons, at 11.1%. Carcosan Cartographer, 33 expeditions, at 10.7%.
The three lowest base-game trophies are indeed execution or ingenuity — OverDriven 9.0%, Untouchable 8.9%, Fall From Grace 8.4% — but they sit under two points from the platinum: whoever gets that far platinums. The biome-challenge group has the lowest average, 17.8%, against 46.3% for the bosses.
The nine Photo Mode trophies: a trophy's age explains more than its difficulty
The nine Carcosan Surveyor trophies arrived with update 1.005.001, in June 2026, as a separate pack that does not count towards the platinum. They sit between 1.3% and 1.8%: the rarest on the whole list, below Untouchable.
They are not hard: eight ask you to frame a specific place in Photo Mode, one per biome, and you do not even need to save the picture. What explains their percentage is that they are two months younger than the rest and that most of those who platinumed in May have not come back.
That is why we exclude them from the curve: mixing them with the original 44 would invent a seven-point drop — from the 8.4% of Fall From Grace to 1.8% — that measures nothing about the game. That jump measures when the patch shipped.

The full table you can reproduce any calculation on this page from. The «drop» column is the difference in points against the previous trophy that counts towards the platinum: the big steps are where people stop playing. Trophies marked separate are from DLC or from side modes that are not needed for the platinum, so they do not chain a drop — mixing them in would compare steps from different playthroughs.

Where this data comes from
Unlock rate of all 54 trophies on PS5, measured across 20,709 tracked players. Snapshot source: PSNProfiles, consulted on 14 September 2026, four and a half months after launch. Of those 54, 44 count towards the platinum and 9 are left out: the Photo Mode ones, added in June as a separate pack. Every drop we quote is calculated only between the ones that count.
The game has 0 missable trophies, 15 hidden ones and no difficulty selector.
A caveat about the sample: these are players who use a trophy tracker, a more motivated group than average. The real percentages across the whole PS5 player base are probably lower. The proportions between trophies, which is what we analyse, are not affected.
What this data cannot tell you
First, and this is what gets misread most: the curve sorts trophies by rarity, not by play order. When we say there is a 15.2-point drop between Come Back Stronger and Relentless, it means they are two consecutive rungs of that sorted list, not that people literally quit between one and the other.
Second: this is a snapshot of a single day, four and a half months after release. We do not know how fast the platinum got to 7.3%, nor whether it is still climbing. With one cut you cannot separate hard from long: a low trophy can be low because it is demanding or because it is boring, and this data does not distinguish between the two.
And third: the percentages measure behaviour, not difficulty. The biome challenges dropping to a 17.8% average says how many people do them, not how hard they are to do.
