Four online trophies that do not need PS Plus, and clearance level 3 that pops when it feels like it
TacSim is a single-player mode with a mandatory connection. When each part opens — Escalations after Chapter 6, Operations after the ending —, the order that closes it in half an hour and what to do if Keep moving forward does not pop.
And it counts towards A change of pace, Keep moving forward, The readiness is all, required for the platinum.
What it is, when it opens and in what order to do it
TacSim is played from the title screen and requires a connection, but not PS Plus: it is a single-player mode that needs to be online, not multiplayer. There are two parts. Escalations open after finishing Chapter 6, A Night Out; Operations, after finishing the story.
The order that closes it in half an hour: first the first Escalation, a one-minute combat tutorial, which awards A change of pace (36.5%). Continue with its three tiers — each a one-minute map with different requirements — for The readiness is all (21.9%), a gold. If an objective is unclear, the touchpad shows a tutorial for each attack.
After the story, play one Operation — replays of campaign sections with modified objectives; the first takes three minutes — for What if...? (10.5%). It is the lowest of the block because it requires having finished the game.
With those three done, the accumulated XP usually leaves clearance level at 3 or close. If not, replay the short Escalations doing their Challenges, which pay a lot of XP: the touchpad shows them during a match.
Keep moving forward: the most bugged trophy on the list
Keep moving forward (13.9%) asks for clearance level 3, and it is the trophy with the most documented problems in the game. Some players had it pop with a long delay, in the middle of a story mission hours later; others had it pop on reaching level 4; and others still lack it at level 5 after relaunching, disconnecting and replaying missions.
It seems to depend on a server-side check, not the level itself: XP is calculated online, and the trophy appears when that check completes.
What does work: if it does not pop on reaching level 3, reach level 4 and keep playing, both TacSim and story. There is no specific action that forces it; you have to give it time with the game running and connected.
The contrast with the rest of the block says it all: the first Escalation is held by 36.5%, clearance level 3 by 13.9%. Half an hour of play separates one from the other, and that 22-point gap is, in good part, people who reached level 3 without the trophy showing up.
If Keep moving forward does not pop on reaching clearance level 3, reach level 4 and keep playing online: it depends on a server check, not on the level.
