At each den — a mound with a red tree on top — a fox bolts the moment you get close. Follow it to the Inari shrine and pray there by swiping down on the touchpad. They mark themselves on the map as you approach.

Watch out: completing all eleven does not give you the trophy. You then have to go to Sanctuary Grove, the hunting camp hideout in the north-east of Teshio Ridge, solve the four fox-statue puzzle at the door and talk to the woman inside. She hands over the mask, and the trophy pops with it in hand. It is the number one reason for "I have everything and it will not pop".

This is the trophy to start the game with, not finish it with. Each song is a collectible detector: you play it by swiping left on the touchpad and it guides you to hot springs, vanity gear, Ainu items, the Yōtei Six camps, bamboo strikes, wolf dens or shrine climbs, depending which one you play. Getting all eight first turns the rest of the collection into following an arrow.

Two are learned on their own — one in the prologue and one on closing four wolf dens — two are at practice locations on the map, three come from side tales, and the eighth depends on a random encounter while camping. That last one is what stalls everybody.

Each reliquary is a stone pillar ringed by four fox statues you can spin. The puzzle instructions are written on the pillar itself, as a riddle, and the solution is always to leave the foxes facing a specific direction.

Two warnings that save hours. First: at several reliquaries spinning one statue also spins another, so save before touching anything so you can reset the puzzle. Second: the Teshio Ridge one requires melting the snow with fire arrows before you can spin anything, which in turn requires the upgraded Hankyu Bow — bought and upgraded from Ran, the bowyer at Red Crane Inn.

50.59% have it. It is one of the shortest collectible sets in the game: five, against eleven fox dens or eight songs.

The detail that stalls a lot of people: you have to beat the same opponent twice. The first win pays in coins; the charm only drops on the second, and it is the charm the trophy asks for. If you won a match, got paid and nothing popped, it is not bugged: sit back down.

There are eight tables spread across each region's inns. A convenient one is the Kuttara Gambling Den, which you visit in the side tale Sleight of Hand.

Essential tip: under Settings > Accessibility turn on Zeni Hajiki Power Display. Without it the minigame is guesswork.
