The three story packs: seventeen trophies that do not count towards the platinum
Full Flock sits at 1.53% and is the rarest trophy in all of Borderlands 4. The seventeen paid-pack trophies, grouped by area, and why their percentages do not measure difficulty.
And it counts towards Fist of the Mountain, Ordon't You Glad I Didn't Say Eridium, Find Me in the Rift, Dahl Cleanup Crew, Looking for Work at the Top of the World, Hearthwarming, Sugar Wrath, Legally Unspecified Tincture, Hull Frozen Over, He Loved You, Pay to Win, AI Psychosis, Bane of Zane, The Full Flock, Detoxed and Ready to Rock, Murdered & Acquired, required for the platinum.
None counts towards the platinum
The seventeen trophies in this block come from paid story packs, and none counts towards the platinum. If you are going for the cup, you can ignore the whole block without consequence.
That has to be in mind before looking at the percentages, because they are the lowest in the entire game and do not mean what they appear to: the denominator includes everyone who bought Borderlands 4 and did not buy the pack. A 3% on a pack trophy is not comparable to a 3% on a base-game one.
The block sorts into three areas, and within each the percentages drop as the trophy asks for more:
Demon's Domain and The Cursed Mine
- Demon's Domain — 9.90%. Complete the quest The Cursed Mine. It is the block's highest: the entrance. - Fist of the Mountain — 7.30%. Defeat every boss in the demon's domain. - See You in the Breach — 7.20%. Defeat a breach boss. - What a Gem of Ordonite, What a Pain of Eridium — 5.01%. Kill 50 ordonite enemies.
The pattern repeats across all three areas and is always the same: completing the entry quest has twice as many people as sweeping the area.
This block's percentages include every base-game owner in the denominator, whether or not they bought the pack. A 3% here is not comparable to a 3% on a base-game trophy.
Whispering Glacier and Detective Detectives
Whispering Glacier is the largest of the three packs by trophy count, with seven:
- Warmth of the Hearth — 10.49%. Complete On the Abandoned Frozen Shores. It is the highest trophy in the whole pack block. - Irate Charm — 9.81%. Complete I Hear Things. - Legally Unspecified Tincture — 9.33%. Complete It Grows in the Depths. - Frozen Helmet — 8.81%. Complete What It Dreams. - He Loved You — 8.75%. Complete Damnation Approaches. - Dahl Cleanup Crew — 5.15%. Complete every activity in Whispering Glacier. - There's Work at the Top Too — 3.87%. Complete every side quest in Whispering Glacier.
The five quest ones sit very close together — from 10.49% to 8.75% — and then there is a collapse by half on the two completion trophies. It is the usual signal: whoever buys the pack plays the story; almost nobody sweeps the area.
Detective Detectives is the smallest and the rarest:
- Zanesination on the Orient Express — 4.11%. Complete A Zane Worth Killing For. - Pay to Win — 3.70%. Spend tokens to open a chest. - AI Psychosis — 3.06%. Defeat every boss in Detective Detectives.
And it is striking that Pay to Win, which only asks you to open a chest with tokens, sits below completing an entire quest. That is not difficulty: opening the chest is an optional gesture off the path and very few people stop to do it.
Full Flock: the rarest trophy in the whole game
Murders & Acquisitions is the third pack and the one holding Borderlands 4's three rarest trophies:
- Shot and Acquired — 2.60%. Complete the quest Guns and Acquisitions. - Unhooked and Unhinged — 1.93%. Defeat every boss in the Toxic Scowl. - Full Flock — 1.53%. Select every option in the quest Guns and Acquisitions.
At 1.53%, Full Flock is the rarest trophy in all of Borderlands 4.
And it is worth understanding exactly why, because the explanation has two parts that stack:
The first is access. It comes from a paid pack, so it starts with the same handicap as the other sixteen: only people who bought the content can have it.
The second is position. It sits in the pack's final quest, and its sibling — Shot and Acquired, which only asks you to complete that same quest — sits at 2.60%. The gap between the two, a little over one point, is the people who completed the quest without selecting every option.
So the trophy is not hard even within the pack: you simply have to know it exists before playing that quest, because the options are selected as you go and nothing warns you.
If you own Murders & Acquisitions and are about to play Guns and Acquisitions, select everything the first time. It is the difference between holding the game's rarest trophy and replaying the quest.
