Which Borderlands 4 trophies count towards the platinum and which do not

The game has 53 trophies but the platinum closes with 35. Which 17 belong to the story packs and why they change the job completely.

53 trophies, 35 for the platinum

Borderlands 4 launched with 36 trophies, platinum included. The four story packs that followed added 17 more, and none of them counts towards the platinum.

That means Aw Man, Now We Have to Make BL5 can be earned without buying a single DLC, and that the gap between the platinum and a real 100% is enormous.

If you go for the platinum it is 45-60 hours without spending another cent. If you go for a real 100%, you need all four packs and the workload explodes.

How the ranks are split

Borderlands 4 splits its 53 trophies into 1 platinum, 8 gold, 17 silver and 27 bronze. On PlayStation's scale — bronze 15, silver 30, gold 90 and platinum 180 — that adds up to 1,815 points.

Of those 53, 36 belong to the base game and the other 17 come from the four story packs. And the packs repeat the same pattern: one gold for their final mission and bronzes or silvers for the rest. If you are going for 100%, you already know where each pack's big trophy sits.
