Forza Horizon 6's 409 collectibles and why the last boards are on rooftops
200 mascots, 200 bonus boards and 9 treasure cars. The mascots are a stroll, the boards are not: they come at three heights and the third needs a fast car and a ramp.

409 pieces, three trophies
Forza Horizon 6 has 409 collectibles tied to trophies:
- 200 regional mascots → Gotta Smash 'Em All. - 200 bonus boards → A Few Splinters Is Nothing! - 9 treasure cars → Treasure Hunter.
Two good things up front. All of them are available from the start, out in the open world: nothing to unlock, no season to wait for. And they are destroyed by simply driving into them, no other requirement.
How they get marked: they appear on the map with purple icons when you pass nearby. Boards carry an H, mascots a face. Once marked, you can fast travel straight to them from the map screen, or let the car drive itself there with Autodrive. And it does not even have to be an icon: you can travel to any point on any street you have already discovered.
That turns collecting into a simple loop: discover road, let them mark, fast travel, run them over.
There is a paid Treasure Map — €2.99 or $2.99 — that marks all 400 at once. You do not need it: the icons you have already found stay marked in grey on the in-game map, and from the map screen you can filter so only collectibles show. That gives you your own list of what is left.
The three kinds of board, and why the third is a different game
Here is the real difference between the two sets of 200.
The mascots are easy. They sit on the ground next to roads. Drive and look: that is it.
The boards come in three forms, and each is a different problem:
The first tier sits at the roadside, just like the mascots. These fall on their own as you play.
The second tier is hidden out in the countryside, away from roads. You will not catch these in passing: you have to leave the tarmac and hunt for them. They are what drags the set out.
The third tier is on rooftops. And there is no way to climb onto a roof in this game: you have to jump into them. The technique is to scan the surroundings for a hill or embankment to use as a ramp, and to bring a fast car with 10/10 acceleration. In a slow car you will not reach, however well you aim.
That is the practical reason this trophy stalls: people knock out a hundred-odd boards without breaking a sweat, then sit staring at the last ones, which are all up high.
If you are short on boards and find none while driving, stop driving: the ones left are in the countryside or on a roof. You already got the roadside ones without noticing.
Uncover the map before anything else
Since collectibles only mark when you pass nearby, there is an order that saves an enormous amount of time: uncover the map first, collect second.
Two trophies point in exactly that direction and get done along the way:
The Horizon Cartographer asks you to reveal the entire map. Pin It! asks you to discover 10 landmarks. And Racking Up The Miles asks you to discover all 10 regions.
If you commit to driving every road until those three are closed, by the time you finish you will have a map full of purple icons with nearly everything you are missing already located. From there it is fast travel and run them over, with nothing left to search for.
The opposite mistake: chasing mascots from minute one around the area you already know, and ending up with a half-uncovered map where you cannot tell whether you are missing a board or simply never drove past it.
