The 7 Wristbands and the 7 Stamps of Forza Horizon 6
The two parallel progressions of the Horizon Festival: what each one measures, the order they drop in, and which of the two stalls first.

These are two separate ladders, not one
Fourteen of the game's 57 achievements — nearly a quarter — are Wristbands and Stamps, and it is easy to mix them up because they share the same colours.
The 7 Horizon Festival Wristbands measure competition: you earn them by banking points from races, challenges and events. The Gold one makes you a Horizon Legend.
The 7 Collection Journal Stamps measure exploration: discovering roads, Landmarks, Regions and activities. The Gold one makes you a Master Explorer.
They run in parallel and they unlock content, so pushing one without the other leaves you stuck halfway.
Which of the two stalls first
The percentages tell a clear story once you put them side by side.

The Stamp always trails the Wristband of the same colour, and the gap widens: from 1% at Yellow to 6% at Gold. Exploration gets abandoned before competition does.
Our recommendation
Since the Stamps fall behind, do them first. Every time you open up a new Region, spend a session discovering roads and Landmarks before you start competing.
That also clears four other achievements along the way: The Horizon Cartographer (reveal the entire map, 23.03%), Racking Up The Miles (all 10 Regions), Pin It! (10 Landmarks) and Treasure Hunter (9 Treasure Cars).
Doing it the other way round — competing first and exploring last — is exactly what produces that 6-point gap at Gold.
