Wristbands and stamps: two progress tracks that measure different things
Twelve trophies on two parallel tracks people confuse: wristbands rise with racing, stamps with exploration. From 86.14% to 30.04%, and the purple wristband gates another trophy.
And it counts towards Festival Fan, Making Waves, What, Like It's Hard?, Orange You Glad You Made It?, In The Spotlight, Stamping Ground, Seeing the Sights, Travelling All Around, Making Your Own Path, Hey! Listen!, What an Adventure!, required for the platinum.
Two tracks that look alike and are not
Forza Horizon 6 has two seven-colour progress bars, with the same colour names and trophies that read almost identically. Confusing them is this platinum's most common mistake, because they do not rise from the same thing:
- The Horizon Festival wristbands rise from racing: Festival races, qualifiers, showcase events. - The collector's diary stamps rise from exploring: story events, street races, Touge, gigs, buying houses and smashing regional mascots.
They are tracked in different places — the stamps live in the collector's diary inside the campaign — and they move at different rates.
The practical consequence is that an afternoon of racing does not move the stamps, and an afternoon of exploring does not move the wristbands. If you are going for the platinum you have to alternate deliberately, not assume everything rises on its own.
The purple wristband opens the Irokawa takeoff danger sign. Until you have it, To the Moon is impossible no matter how hard you look for the jump.
The wristbands: where progress stops being automatic
Six wristband trophies, and their percentages say exactly where people fall away:
- Yellow — Welcome to Horizon — 86.14% - Green — Festival Fan — 77.60% - Blue — They'll Do the Wave — 64.60% - Pink — No Roses Without Thorns — 54.07% - Orange — If Life Gives You Oranges… — 45.62% - Purple — In the Spotlight — 39.93%
The first three fall practically on their own while playing the campaign. Pink is where progress stops being automatic: from blue to pink one player in five disappears, and from there each wristband asks for considerably more events than the last.
The orange-to-purple stretch is the longest on the whole track. What pays best there are Festival races, which also count towards Motorsport Lover — the 57 wins. Doing both at once saves hours.
And two dependencies worth keeping in mind:
- PR stunts unlock progressively with each wristband. If you are chasing Mass Appeal in Ohtani, raise your wristband first or you will run out of stunts to open. - After purple only the gold remains, which is the final race and the one that opens Legend Island, the tenth region.
The stamps: where exploration points come from
The six stamp trophies run from 85.10% to 30.04%, and the pattern repeats: the first three fall on their own and pink is where you have to start hunting points deliberately.
- Yellow — Stamping Strong — 85.10% - Green — Admiring the View — 75.75% - Blue — Round and Round — 61.84% - Pink — Chart Your Own Course — 49.73% - Orange — All on Orange — 38.01% - Purple — What an Adventure! — 30.04%
The sources of exploration points, ranked by actual return:
- Story events are the densest source, and they push What a Story! — the 81 stars — at the same time. - Touge duels and street races pay well and are quick. - Gigs add up while you raise the job level for You're the Boss. - Buying houses counts. The Yashiki costs only 10,000 credits. - Smashing regional mascots is the cheapest of all: they sit along the main roads, so they combine with any drive.
And the nuance behind the higher stamps: from orange on, the diary wants you to have touched practically every region, not squeezed one dry. If you have been circling Tokyo, the stamp will not rise at the pace you expect no matter how many activities you stack there.
