Eight frames, one per biome

The nine Carcosan Surveyor trophies arrived with update 1.005.001, in June 2026, as a separate pack: they do not count towards the platinum, but they do for 100%. They sit between 1.3% and 1.8% because they are two months younger, not because they are hard. The common rule: you do not need to save any picture, focusing on the element in Photo Mode is enough. Once the trophy pops, you can leave the biome.

Shattered Rise, Locked and Forgotten (1.8%): the big round doorway that leads to Prophet.

Ancient Depths, Buried Deep (1.5%): after the sundial, take the left path, the one with the mining equipment, to the big circular cog-shaped drill.

Shattered Descent, Menacing Threshold (1.5%): the Nightmare Gate, without entering.

Blighted Marsh, Ascension Askew (1.5%): the elevator that leads to Legion, before going up.

Desecrated Fortress, Hollowed Foundations (1.4%): go through the boss door to an elevator; at the top, the light coming out from between the tentacles.

Acolyte's Haven, Lighting the Path (1.4%): in the boss arena, do not use the grapple, which triggers the fight. Head left following the marker to a lift; the structure is in front of you as soon as you ride up.

Cathedral, Ringing a Bell (1.5%): ring the first two bells and the third appears in the centre; go down and frame it.

Yellow Shore, Gaze of Corruption (1.7%): the throne in the middle of the water, before the King.

Fact

No picture needs saving: the trophy pops when you focus on the element in Photo Mode. And none of the nine counts towards the platinum.

Five different Alphas up close

Thorough Examination (1.3%) is the rarest on the whole list: close-up frame five different Alpha hostiles. Alphas carry a red crown above their head and on the minimap, and spawn randomly from the Shattered Descent onwards.

They must be five different types, not five pictures of the same one, and the trophy tracker tells you whether a shot counted. Carcosan Modifiers do not change how often they appear: play the biomes normally and open Photo Mode when you see the crown. Acolyte's Haven is where they show up most consistently.

In total, the nine Photo Mode trophies cost about nine or ten biome runs if you know what to frame, and quite a few more if you die or run past. It pays to combine them with the 33 expeditions: every run made for Photo Mode with a modifier active also counts towards Carcosan Cartographer.
