Split Fiction as a pair: who earns trophies, the Friend's Pass and how to get back to any trophy
«Split Fiction» cannot be played solo and the Friend's Pass does not award trophies. Before starting the platinum it pays to know who earns them, how chapter select works and which Accessibility option saves hours in the clean-up.

The game is mandatory co-op: always two players, on the same console or online. With the Friend's Pass, someone without the game can play the full adventure online with someone who owns it, but earns no trophies.
If you both own the game and play online, trophies pop for both at the same time. Locally, the second account on the same console earns them too. It does not matter who does each action: when a trophy on the list pops, it pops for both of you.
If you both want the platinum, you both need the game, or to play locally on the console that has it. With the Friend's Pass, your guest finishes the story without BFF's.
Chapter select and the option that saves hours
The game saves by itself: there is no manual save, only one autosave. In exchange, chapter select works by section and marks the missing side stories, so no trophy is truly missable.
Under Options, Accessibility, you can turn on allow skipping to the next checkpoint. With it, getting back to a specific trophy means entering its section and skipping checkpoints until you reach it. It is essential for retrying You Are Not a Robot, because restarting the checkpoint puts you back on the bike with less time.
If someone who already has the platinum helps you
With one playthrough already finished, chapter select has everything open. According to PowerPyx's guide, locally, with your account as the second player on the console of someone who has already platinumed, the platinum can be done in about an hour; online, invited by that person, in three hours or more.
Online there are conditions: for BFF's you have to play the final showdown through to the last cutscene, every side story needs its last checkpoint played without skipping it, and you have to sit on all six benches. The other trophies are a matter of entering their section and doing the action.
