The four raids and the oldest gaol: the trophies that depend on the map
Five trophies come from random events tied to the map layout. Which expedition each raid usually shows up in, how to complete it, why Libra's is won by paying rather than fighting, and what to do about the oldest gaol.
And it counts towards Plague of Locusts, Typhoon, True Arbiter, Old Gaol, required for the platinum.
What raids are and where they show up
A raid is an invasion that breaks into the middle of an expedition: a boss or special event that appears near the party. Four of them have a trophy and none can be chosen; they depend on the map layout you get. PowerPyx and the PSNProfiles guide, which collects combinations documented by the community, agree on the expedition where three of them show up, and the table sums it up.
The good news is in the percentages: all four sit between 47.5% and 55.1%, level with the Nightlords. Playing the story normally, most of them come on their own. What matters is completing them when they appear: fleeing or dying gives no trophy.
| Raid | Usually appears in | How to complete it | Held by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fell Omen (Margit) | Gnoster expedition | Defeat Margit | 55.1% |
| Augur (Maris) | Gnoster expedition | Enter the blue bubble and defeat him | 53.4% |
| Equilibrious Beast (Libra) | Sources disagree | Pay the deal: 15,000 runes on Day 1, 35,000 on Day 2 | 50.1% |
| Sentient Pest (Gnoster) | Maris expedition | Follow the locusts to the boss and defeat it | 47.5% |
The details of each one
Margit spawns very close to the party and leaves little room; beating him grants attack power for every new Site of Grace. Maris creates a large blue bubble that usually pulls the party in, but anyone far away has to walk in to the area marked red; inside he is barely a threat.
Gnoster's plague is the rarest (47.5%): a locust swarm where every hit costs a level. Dodge them and follow the ones flying across the sky with your eyes, as they head for the hidden boss; defeating it gets your levels back.
Libra is not won by fighting. Find the special merchant the map marks in red and pay his deal: 15,000 runes on Day 1 or 35,000 on Day 2, according to the PSNProfiles guide. One player paying is enough for the trophy to pop for the whole party, and PowerPyx warns that attacking him starts a fight that gives no trophy.
The oldest gaol
Old Gaol (50.4%) asks you to complete a special evergaol that looks identical to the rest from outside. Evergaols open with a Stonesword Key from the large fort chests, and the oldest one only appears with certain map layouts.
The community has documented combinations of expedition, camps and forts where it always spawns; until you find it, open every evergaol you can. The bosses inside count towards Untold Power, so it is not wasted time.
