Maxed upgrades and the 96 skills: what material each trophy needs and what can wait for New Game +
Six upgrade trophies between the 40.6% of the Blood Edge and the 22.5% of all skills, plus the 12 New Game + skills (14.4%). All of them can be finished on the second run, and for some it is the better choice.
And it counts towards Perfect Blood Edge, Perfect Rechargeable Tumbler, Perfect Physical Enhancement, Perfect Beta Energy Enhancement, Thorough Technician, Infinite Blade, required for the platinum.
The five maxed upgrades
Five trophies ask you to max something out, and none is missable: all of them can be finished in New Game +, which keeps your upgrades. The material breaks down like this: Weapon Cores come from bosses, the HP and Beta cores are hidden around the maps, and the Tumbler’s is carried by relic bots that flee.
The special case is the Exospines: there are 12 and the trophy asks for 10 maxed, each over three tiers. New Game + adds stronger Mk2 versions, so holding materials back for then is no problem. And the sword one has a catch: two Damaged Weapon Cores trade for one in D1G-g2r’s shop, but once he runs out there are no more trades on that playthrough.
The curious figure: HP and Beta Energy are tied at 28.0%. Whoever hunts one kind of core finds the other.
| Trophy | Upgrades | Where the material comes from | Players |
|---|---|---|---|
| Perfect Blood Edge | 15 | Bosses and trading Damaged Cores with D1G-g2r | 40.6% |
| Perfect Rechargeable Tumbler | 5 | Relic bots that flee | 33.9% |
| Perfect Physical Enhancement | 6 | Body Cores, three to five per upgrade | 28.0% |
| Perfect Beta Energy Enhancement | 6 | Beta Cores, three to five per upgrade | 28.0% |
| Perfect Exospine | 10 of 12, three tiers each | Nano Elements and gold | 27.0% |
The 96 skills and the 12 New Game + ones
Thorough Technician (22.5%) asks for the 96 skills of the normal game. Points come from killing enemies, quests and collectibles, so whoever does everything on the first run usually reaches the end with all of them. Training Gear increases the points you earn, and Kaya sells one in her shop.
If you are short, there is a good farming spot by the Space Center Camp, Belial’s area: go into the next room, through the big door on the left, clear it and rest at the Camp so everything respawns. Do it before the final area, where there are no normal enemies left.
Infinite Blade (14.4%) asks for the 12 skills New Game + adds, at the end of the Beta and Burst trees, at 6 points each. It does not count towards the platinum. Those two trees cannot be reset, but the other three can, with the reset item sold at Camps, which gives back a good share of the points.
