The one-minute trophies almost nobody has
Bartering with a porter sits at 16.0% and decorating the private room at 17.1%, and both take a minute. Eight small trophies with the rule the description leaves out, including the room that works for one and not the other.
And it counts towards Making It Your Own, A Private Show!, Creature Comforter, Rare Specimen Rescuer, My First Training Session, A First Glimpse of the SSS, It's Like That, required for the platinum.
Eight trophies and the catch in each
The mechanics group averages 42.7%, below the story, and not because it is hard: five of its ten trophies are under 22% and take minutes. What is missing is knowing the rule the description does not state.
The clearest case is bartering, at 16.0%: rarer than beating the Tar Lake boss. None is missable, but do them when you pass by, because in the post-game nobody goes looking for any of this.
| Trophy | Held by | The rule the description leaves out |
|---|---|---|
| Porters Make the World Go Round | 16.0% | Taking their item is not enough: you have to drop one of yours and they have to pick it up |
| Making It Your Own | 17.1% | In a facility's private room; the ship's does not count |
| Rare Specimen Rescuer | 19.9% | Each albino exists only once on the map |
| A Private Show! | 21.4% | In the ship's room; facility rooms do not count |
| My First Training Session | 43.5% | Accessed from any private room; nothing leads you to it |
| Creature Comforter | 48.2% | Animals an order asks for do not count |
| A First Glimpse of the SSS | 82.0% | Pops when you open the SSS from the wrist terminal |
| It's Like That | 84.5% | Right side of the touchpad next to another player's structure |
The two private rooms: one for each trophy
It is the most twisted trap in the game, because the two rules are opposite. Making It Your Own (17.1%) only works in a facility's private room: take a Photo Mode screenshot (left side of the touchpad), go into any facility's room, face the front or back wall and swap the screen image for your screenshot, the one with the grey rectangle.
A Private Show! (21.4%) only works in the ship's room. You need to have connected the Musician in Episode 3, which gives you the song Horizon Dreamer by Daichi Miura. Play it in the ship's room, notice Dollman dancing by the door, talk to him and agree when he asks if you have a moment. You do not need to watch the whole performance.
Animals, albinos and bartering with a porter
Animal capture opens with Main Order No. 15, when you reach the Animal Shelter in Episode 4. For Creature Comforter (48.2%), any animal you catch on your own works: the koalas in the trees of the valley next to the shelter are the easiest. Animals an order asks for do not count.
For the albino (19.9%), the easiest is the albino kangaroo in the desert just north of the Data Scientist, visible from afar. The Pioneer's aid requests also mark where the albino kangaroo, lyrebird and echidna are.
Bartering (16.0%) opens after Main Order No. 12, when NPC porters start roaming. Approach one until they offer you an item by holding it out, take it and drop something of yours on the ground. The trophy pops when the porter picks it up.
