Fishing, endemic life and rare items: the platinum's second wall

A-fish-ionado, 30 whoppers, sits at 7.7%: rarer than Hunter Rank 100 and the apex predators. Kanya's chain, the baits, the coin crab, the Sandstar and the ten Rarity 6 items.

Kanya's chain gives the baits

The three fishing trophies depend on Kanya's five side missions, which start at the Scarlet Forest base camp. The first gives Angling for a Bite (70.8%). The Catch of a Lifetime! unlocks the Tuff Joint Bait and the Duster Rig, and when Razzle Dazzle starts you receive the Tentacle Jig, the only bait the giant squid of Monster (Squid) Hunter (17.6%) will bite.

The fish in these missions must be landed with the rod: catching them with the Capture Net does not count. And since they are side missions, they count for five of the 30 in East to West, A Hunter Never Rests.

30 whoppers: the minigame and the lake

A-fish-ionado sits at 7.7%, the third-rarest trophy in the game. It is not hard: it is long and nobody does it in passing.

All five whopper types live in area 17 of the Scarlet Forest. Set up a Pop-up Camp by the lake and stay put. When a big one bites the minigame starts: follow the direction it swims with the stick, press the button shown on screen when it leaps out of the water, and when it stops, tired, flick the stick up and down to reel it in. Repeat until it is landed; if you fail, the line snaps.

The giant squid, with its bluish-glowing shell, counts as a whopper: land it with the Tentacle Jig and you get Monster (Squid) Hunter and one of the 30. If the lake runs dry, rest to change the time and weather.

The coin crab and the Sandstar

Two creatures caught with the Capture Net, and both hidden in the list.

A Prize Held High (30.2%) is a small golden-glowing crab carrying an Ancient Wyvern Coin. It appears in several regions; in the Scarlet Forest there are two reliable spots, the puddle in front of the area 6 camp and the underground lake in area 8. As you approach, Alma remarks that it seems to be holding something.

I Caught a Shooting Star! (29.3%) is the Sandstar, a blue-glowing creature that only comes out at night in area 13 of the Windward Plains. It is very fast: chase it on your Seikret or stun it with a Screamer Pod and throw the net. It also counts for the mission Samin's Special Research Report.

Endemic life does not always spawn. If it is not there, travel to another region and come back, or rest to change the time.

The ten Rarity 6 special items

Explorer of the Eastlands (10.6%) asks you to hold at the same time ten different Rarity 6 special items: do not sell them until it pops. Seven come from environment events that the map forecast announces with their time, so you just check the forecast and wait or rest. The two pollens come from flowers that only open now and then.

For the tenth, guides disagree on where the Large Goldenscale Vase comes from; if it will not drop, the Wyvernsprout is also Rarity 6 and a rotten small-monster carcass sometimes gives it. If an item does not spawn even when the conditions are met, restart the game.

Careful

What is confirmed is holding them at the same time. It is not known whether ones you already sold count, so keep them all until the trophy pops.
