The six first times: finding a silk skill is not enough, you have to bind it
Six tutorial trophies running from 99.90% to 73.60%, and the verb to grasp from the first one: in Silksong silk skills are bound, not picked up.
And it counts towards Bound, Claimed, Protected, Restored, Granted, required for the platinum.
Bind, not collect
The six trophies in this block ask you to do something for the first time, and they all come from playing. Their value is not difficulty: it is that each one introduces a system a bigger trophy hangs off.
Equipped — 99.90%. Obtain your first tool. It pops in the first few hours without trying. Behind it sits Arsenal, which asks for 51.
Bound — 97.70%. Bind your first silk skill. It is the game's most common trophy, and the one that teaches the verb you need: silk skills are the attacks that spend Hornet's thread, and you have to bind them to use them — finding them is not enough. The first you cross is the Silk Spear, very early on the route. Behind it sits Woven, which asks for all 6.
Granted — 92.73%. Grant your first wish. Wishes are the requests of Pharloom's characters. And it pays to enter the system early, because five of the group's six trophies ask for specific wishes — Nuu's, the Herald's — and some of those are among the game's most expensive.
Claimed — 81.80%. Claim your first crest. Crests completely change Hornet's playstyle, and the first arrives early. Behind it sits Crested, all 7.
Restored — 77.73%. Obtain 2 spool fragments, the upgrade that widens the silk reserve. Behind them sit Expanded's 18.
Protected — 73.60%. Obtain 4 mask shards, which is what a full mask of health takes. Behind them sit Masked's 20.
What the fall from 99.90% to 73.60% says
The six run from 99.90% to 73.60%, and the order in which they fall says something useful about how the game is built.
The first three — tool, silk skill, wish — sit above 92%: they are systems the game puts in front of you and you cannot dodge.
The last three — crest, spool, mask — drop to 81, 77 and 73%. And it is not that they are hard: it is that they ask you to accumulate. Four mask shards, two spool fragments. Bumping into one is no longer enough: you have to search a little.
That twenty-six-point fall between the first and last of a block that only asks for "first times" is the best summary of Silksong its trophies give. At this stage the game does not filter with bosses or skill walls: it filters by how much you explore.
And it shows when you compare with what follows. Protected asks for 4 mask shards and sits at 73.60%; Masked asks for all 20 and sits at 30.71%. From four to twenty, forty-three points disappear.
The practical takeaway: if you are going for the platinum, do not treat these six as trophies. Treat them as the warning that every system the game teaches you has a complete version waiting, and that is the one that costs.
