Nothing is missable: why the first playthrough needs no caution

The six campaign trophies are progression, and finishing it opens everything through chapter select. Ryu's three chapters, the health items they hide, and the trophy that sounds like plot but is a boss trial.

The turn that puts Ryu in your hands

Dark Dragon Priestess — 58.42%. Revive the Dark Dragon at the cost of Seori's life.

It is a story-progress trophy and cannot be avoided: it is part of the turn that opens the campaign's final stretch. From here the game changes hands.

Return of the Super Ninja — 58.39%. Begin Ryu Hayabusa's story.

Ryu is playable across three chapters and plays differently from Yakumo: he hits harder, which is exactly why he is worth using for Master Ninja difficulty.

His chapters hide three health items of their own — the other twenty belong to Yakumo — and all 23 are needed for The Ninja's Fortress. This is the moment to collect them, though it is not urgent: you can return through chapter select.

The Priestess's Will — 56.59%. Head to the final battle to fulfil Seori's wishes.

Blood-stained Destiny — 56.18%. Stand against Ryu Hayabusa: the clash between the two protagonists and the penultimate story trophy.

The near-identical percentage to the previous trophy says something concrete: whoever gets this far no longer quits. The game's attrition happens entirely in the first half.

Consumed by Corruption — 19.74%. Defeat Oniwaka in the final encounter.

This is where the part that separates platinum hunters begins: almost forty points below the previous trophy.

The story trophy that is not a story trophy

Bearer of Darkness — 25.04%. Recover the lost Dark Dragon Blade.

It is not a story trophy despite sounding like plot progress: the blade comes from completing boss trial number 13, which unlocks on finishing the campaign. That is why half as many people hold it as hold the plot trophies surrounding it in the list.

It is also the gateway to Dark Dragon Blade Mastery, which asks you to raise its 12 skills: without the blade you cannot even begin that other trophy. Two trophies, then, hang on a single boss trial.

And what to know before starting the campaign:

Nothing is missable. Finishing the story unlocks Master Ninja difficulty, the boss trials, and chapter-select access to everything you left behind.

That changes how the first playthrough is played: there is no need for caution. No consulting collectible lists as you go, no stopping to check whether a chapter is fully cleared. Play the campaign however you like, finish it, and gather afterwards.

The one moment worth marking is The Priestess's Will: it is the progress trophy before the finale, and a good point to decide whether you want to learn the system calmly before the last stretch.

Fact

Nothing is missable: finishing the campaign opens Master Ninja, the boss trials and chapter select. The first run needs no checklist in hand.
