Spoilers from the Future sits at 50.01%: exactly half of those who start see the ending. The seven story missions and the four progression trophies, including the one that separates platinum hunters.

From 100% to 50.01% across seven missions

The seven story trophies come on their own as you progress, and their curve is among the cleanest we have measured:

| Trophy | Have it | |---|---| | Free at Last | 100% | | New Friends | 93.52% | | Long Embargo | 79.46% | | More Disobedient | 68.16% | | Improved Telepathy | 53.35% | | Caught! | 52.43% | | Spoilers from the Future | 50.01% |

Free at Last sits at 100%: escaping the Baron's bunker is the first thing the game does, so it serves as the reference for reading everything else.

And the figure that closes the curve: Spoilers from the Future is at 50.01%. Exactly half of everyone who starts Dying Light: The Beast sees the ending, which is high for an open world with seven main missions.

The steepest drop sits between More Disobedient and Improved Telepathy: from 68.16% to 53.35%, fifteen points. After that the decline almost stops — the last three fall within three points of each other — which means whoever reaches the final third, finishes.

The two trees and the one that separates platinum hunters

Four progression trophies, and their percentages tell a clear story about where the ordinary player parts ways with the platinum hunter.

Apprentice Craftsman — 88.63%. Install your first weapon mod at a workbench. It is the crafting system's first step and comes almost on its own: the game hands you mods from the start.

And it is also the gateway to Handyman, which asks for all 49 blueprints maxed and is the base game's rarest gold. The sooner you get into the habit of visiting the workbench, the less piles up at the end.

The Ultimate Beast — 54.07%. Fully unleash your inner beast: it is this game's own skill tree.

Extreme Survivor — 39.01%. Recover your survival skills. Fifteen points below the previous one, which tells you the beast tree fills before the survivor one: the game pushes towards the powers.

Blacksmith — 26.28%. Repair your weapons 50 times.

This is the one that marks the line. It is neither hard nor long in itself — fifty repairs fit inside a normal run — but it requires remembering to repair instead of tossing the weapon and grabbing another, which is what most people do in a game that hands out weapons by the fistful.

If you are going for the platinum, adopt the habit from the start: always repair before replacing. It is the difference between this trophy arriving on its own and sitting down to do fifty repairs in a row at the end.
