Dice, locks and 10,000 groschen: the ten tavern trophies
There is a trophy for spending 10,000 groschen and another for losing them, and the second is taken at the dice table on purpose. Ten minigame and competition trophies, including the two DLC ones that do not count towards the platinum.
And it counts towards Shiny, Henry the Bruiser, Master of Masters, Canny Shooter, Nimble Fingers, Groschen Must Flow, The Lord Taketh Away, Flagellum Dei, Boneworks, required for the platinum.
Ten thousand groschen, twice
Two trophies with the same figure and opposite meanings:
Let the Groschen Roll — 34.73%. Spend 10,000 groschen in total. It accumulates across the whole run through armour, repairs and bribes. In a hundred-hour campaign it pops without trying.
…and the Lord Taketh Away — 17.13%. Lose 10,000 groschen.
This is the interesting one: almost nobody gets it without trying, because losing ten thousand groschen by accident takes a remarkable run of bad luck. The fast route is deliberate: bet big at dice and let yourself lose.
And here is this block's useful overlap. Dice sessions serve three purposes at once:
- Brilliant — 34.52%, which asks you to win a gold badge at dice, forcing you to climb the stakes until you reach the highest bet. - …and the Lord Taketh Away, by losing at those same high stakes. - Master of All, which counts dice among its minigames.
So one long dice session at big stakes advances all three. Climb to the gold badge first, then stop playing well.
The competitions: the two that genuinely need skill
Sharp Shooter — 13.08%. Win the miners' competition at the highest difficulty.
It is silver, and here you genuinely need to aim. Raise Bow before attempting it, because at the top level there is no margin: this is not a challenge equipment compensates for.
Master of Masters — 15.84%. Beat Zavish in three disciplines.
Silver and missable, and among the rarest in the base game. They are three separate challenges and you have to win them all before the plot moves on, so it is not only about being good: it is about not putting it off.
Henry the Bully — 39.34%. Beat the area's best brawler. Silver, and it is fought bare-fisted: it pays to raise Strength and Defence before challenging him, because unarmed combat does not forgive missing stats.
Nimble Fingers — 41.57%. Pick the hardest lock in the game. You need the Lockpicking skill well raised and a good lockpick; at low level the lock will not even let you try, so it is not a trophy you can force early.
Master of All — 53.05%. Successfully complete every minigame in the game: dice, smithing, alchemy, lockpicking, pickpocketing, fist fighting, archery and the rest. It comes almost by itself if you try everything offered along the way, and it sums this block up best: Kingdom Come rewards trying everything once.
The two DLC ones that do not count towards the platinum
These two come from the racing downloadable content and do not count towards the platinum, so you can skip them without consequence if the cup is all you want.
Flagellum Dei — 4.01%. Score 150 points in the mounted archery competition.
At 4.01% it is among the rarest on the entire list, for a specific reason: shooting at a gallop requires high Horsemanship and high Bow at the same time. Neither on its own is enough. It is the game's most stat-dependent trophy.
Saint's Little Bones — 13.72%. Help the executioner, the butcher and the ossuary keeper: three gigs from the same block. Hidden trophy.
A practical note on reading these percentages: DLC trophies always come out lower than base-game ones, because only people who bought the content can have them. A 4.01% on a DLC trophy is not comparable to a 4.01% on a base-game trophy, which is why it is worth keeping them separate when deciding what to tackle first.
