No boss gives a trophy for beating it

This is the most confusing thing about Silent Hill f: beating a boss gives no trophy. What gives the trophy is beating it while meeting an extra condition the game never shows you.

Without knowing in advance, you miss every single one. And since they are missable, each slip means a whole playthrough of waiting. That is why it is worth reading this table before each fight, not after.

What each boss asks for

Ordered by how rare each trophy is, hardest to most manageable.

The two that really cost you

Puppetmaster is, at 23.95%, the second rarest trophy in the game after the platinum and the top difficulty. The Tsukumogami's arrows come in volleys, so you have to fight the whole thing glued to it or in permanent cover.

God Slayer is the only trophy in the game with a timer, and it never warns you there is one. Ten minutes for the Tsukumogami and the Kyubi. Get there with upgraded gear and do not go exploring mid-fight.

Both are in the same late stretch, so arrive with a recent save and the expectation of a couple of retries.

Key

Save before every boss. If you fail the condition, reloading costs five minutes; waiting for the next playthrough costs ten hours.
