The three steps where Silent Hill f loses its players are all in the first half
From 99.01% to 67.79% across fourteen trophies that ask for nothing. The big drops are all before the midpoint and the final third barely loses a point: whoever reaches the eclipse finishes.
And it counts towards The Fox's Guidance, Scarecrows' Whispers, Cleansed, On the Way to School, Shell of the Past, The Farewell Party, A Dangerous Path, Plucked Wings, Parting on Good Terms, Solar & Lunar Eclipse, The Path of Self-Preservation, The Path of Exultation, Coming Home to Roost, required for the platinum.
The three big steps: 6.51, 7.19 and 3.76 points
The fourteen story trophies ask for nothing. They unlock by advancing, need no preparation, and cannot be missed. All they tell you is where people drop off — and that is genuinely useful for reading the rest of the list.
Surrounded by Fog — 99.01%. Pops on finishing the game's first stretch. It is the benchmark against which every other percentage is read.
And from there come the three big steps, all in the first half:
The Fox's Guidance — 92.5%. 6.51 points below the previous one.
Scarecrow's Whispers — 85.31%. 7.19 points below: the largest step in the whole campaign.
Cleansed — 81.55%. 3.76 points below.
In four trophies, Silent Hill f has shed almost one player in five. That is the game's real filter: not the ending, but its first third.
After that the slope eases:
On the Way to School — 78.77%.
Shell of the Past — 76.64%.
The Farewell Party — 73.05%, with another step of 3.59 points, the last big one.
A Dangerous Path — 71.93%.
Plucked Wings — 70.59%.
Parting on Good Terms — 69.09%.
The final third loses a point and a half across four trophies
Solar/Lunar Eclipse — 68.23%.
The Path of Self-Preservation — 68.07%.
The Path of Exultation — 67.97%.
Coming Home to Roost — 67.79%.
Four consecutive trophies and less than half a point between them. From the eclipse to the campaign's last trophy, a point and a half is lost in total, against seventeen and a half across the first four.
That curve shape says something concrete and usable: whoever reaches the eclipse finishes the game. There is no final stretch that pushes people out, no boss that ends a run, no section that makes players quit.
And that is why the figure that actually matters for the platinum is none of these fourteen, but Thankful to Be Here — 65.13%, which is precisely the number of people who finish Silent Hill f once.
Two and a half points below the last story trophy: practically everyone who sees the ending also takes the difficulty trophy, because it lands on its own. What separates the platinum is not in the campaign, it is in what comes afterwards.
How this plays out in practice: all fourteen land with no effort, so the first run does not need to be played with the story trophy list open. What is worth deciding before starting are the difficulties — because Intellectual Pursuits asks for Story exactly and does not accept "or higher" — and the one-shot feats, which are the ones that force a replay.
No story trophy is missable. The first run needs no checklist: what to decide beforehand are the difficulties and the one-shot feats.
