Why you are missing two and the trophy is not bugged

There are six items that increase inventory size in Silent Hill f. Each adds one slot, and the Fervent Collector trophy asks for all six.

The detail almost nobody catches in time: only four exist on the first playthrough. The other two are in rooms that stay locked during the first run and only open in New Game+.

That explains the 32.26% who have it. It is not a hard collectible to spot — four of the six are practically in plain sight — it is that people comb the entire first run, stop at four, and conclude the trophy is broken. It is not: you are missing the two NG+ ones.

The good news is that Silent Hill f already makes you replay for the endings, so it costs no extra run: you just have to remember to pick these two up on the way.

Key

Item names are given as they appear in English. In another language they change, so what matters is the zone and the exact spot: that does not.

The four on your first run

These four can be picked up on a fresh save or in New Game+. All of them get left behind when you move on, so grab them as you pass, not later.

1Ebisugaoka, second visitShoulder BagFrom the main street where you start, head east and take the north path. Then go left all the way until you run into two enemies. After dealing with them, go down the alley: it is on a wooden crate.
2Ebisugaoka Middle SchoolSchool BagInside Suga Yosie's locker. It opens with the code 505.
3Main HallDirty Drawstring BagAfter completing the second ritual and the fight that follows, you reach two sets of stairs. Go up and work around the broken floors: it is on a chest of drawers.

The two that only exist in New Game+

In New Game+, rooms that were locked on the first run open up — and that is where the missing two are.

5Ebisugaoka, first visitPacking TipsEast of the first Hokora Shrine there is a building that is already open in NG+. Go upstairs and open the back room: inside, in an open box, is the Balcony Key. Step onto the balcony and use it on the next room. On the desk there is a box, and the upgrade is inside.
6CorridorsEmbroidered Drawstring BagFollow the corridors north-west to a door that now opens. On the shelf at the back left is the last upgrade: if it is your sixth, the trophy pops.
Key

Since New Game+ carries over what you already had, there is no need to redo the first four if you got them. If one of those four was missing, this second run closes it too.
