The 37 Ancient Ruins puzzles in Crimson Desert
The 37 Ancient Ruins puzzles and the good news almost nobody mentions: they are one of the few challenge sets that need no Sealed Abyss Artifact.
And it counts towards Expert Explorer, required for the platinum.
What they are and how many there are
There are 37 puzzles spread across the ancient ruins of Pywel. Each one is a riddle of mechanisms, lights or sequences, and solving it completes the challenge.
Completing all 37 unlocks their trophy, and they all count towards Expert Explorer as well, the gold that demands all nine exploration subcategories at 100%: 207 challenges in total.
When they are worth doing
And here is the good news barely any guide highlights: the exploration puzzles are one of the few challenge sets that do NOT need a Sealed Abyss Artifact. They count from the first minute of your save.
That makes them the exception to the game's golden rule, and the one thing you can chip away at while hunting artifacts without any risk of losing progress.
What we recommend
Even so, it pays to lift the fog from the map first, because the ruins are widely scattered and they take twice as long to find without the bells done.
This is the one exception in the whole game: the puzzles do NOT need a Sealed Abyss Artifact. You can solve them from the first minute and the progress counts.
