There are 15 challenges split across five subcategories, and they have one huge advantage over everything else in the game: they do not need a Sealed Abyss Artifact. They unlock simply by interacting with each minigame venue for the first time, so all you have to do is not walk straight past taverns, inns and fairgrounds.
Even so, only 4.83% of players have True Gamer: it is the second rarest trophy in the game after the platinum. The reason is that some minigames only turn up late in the story, so you have to come back and check the category again once the campaign is done.
The pattern repeats in nearly all of them: you string together three wins in a row against regular opponents and then face the local champion.
