How these challenges work
There are 6 challenges spread over four different regions, and all of them have to be done as Kliff, the only character who handles bows.
Since he is also the only one who uses the spear and the one who clears most operations, the efficient play is to bundle bow, spear and operations into the same sessions instead of scattering them across the playthrough.
Like every other challenge in the game, progress only starts counting once you have picked up the matching Sealed Abyss Artifact, and it does not count retroactively. The artifacts show up as purple icons on the minimap when you are close, and the sword's Guiding Light ability spots them from a distance.
