How these challenges work
There are 5 challenges and only Damiane handles the rapier. Since she is also the only one who uses firearms, the efficient play is to run all ten trials from both categories in the same sessions.
The fifth one asks for Shield Toss, so have the ability unlocked before you head out.
Like every other challenge in the game, progress only starts counting once you have picked up the matching Sealed Abyss Artifact, and it does not count retroactively. The artifacts show up as purple icons on the minimap when you are close, and the sword's Guiding Light ability spots them from a distance.
