Clearing Pailune deletes the Operation 7 challenge: chapter 7's order cannot be undone
From chapter 1's 100% to the ending's 18.99%. Four of the five campaign trophies land on their own, but one demands an entire faction line and another hides a missable that deletes a challenge.
And it counts towards Master Camper, Proud Returnee, Protector of Pailune, Expert Storyteller, required for the platinum.
From 100% to 18.99%: where the players go
Novice Adventurer — 100%. Complete chapter 1 of the main story.
It pops during the main mission Woman in White, within the Trail subchapter. There is nothing to prepare and nothing that can be lost: it is the trophy marking the end of the game's long prologue.
100% of tracked players hold it, confirming that advancing without it is impossible.
Master Camper — 76.64%. Activate the Howling Hill camp during chapter 3.
It unlocks in the main mission Family Curses, within the Farm subchapter. The camp is your base of operations: from here you manage companions, upgrades and supplies, so reaching it early organises the rest of the run.
Almost a quarter of everyone who starts Crimson Desert quits before reaching chapter 3.
Protector of Pailune — 40.60%. Complete chapter 7 by defeating the Black Bears and the Jackals.
It pops on finishing the main mission Time to Face Justice, within the Twisted Fate subchapter of chapter 7, Homecoming.
Only 40.60% of players make it this far. It is the biggest drop in the entire run.
Expert Storyteller — 18.99%. Complete every main mission.
It closes the campaign and is one of the four gold trophies. It closes nothing else: the world stays open after the ending and you can keep completing challenges freely.
Put another way: four out of every five people who start Crimson Desert never see the ending.
Chapter 7's missable and the move that is not automatic
Watch the order in chapter 7: clearing the Pailune camps makes the Operation 7 challenge disappear, and it is required for Brilliant Strategist. If you have not done it before, you lose it here.
There is no warning, no confirmation and no way back: the challenge stops existing in the world the moment the chapter resolves. It is the campaign's only point where advancing destroys content, and the reason chapter 7 is worth planning before entering it.
Proud Returnee — 9.88%. Move the Greymane Camp from Howling Hill to Pailune.
First finish chapter 7 with the mission Time to Face Justice. That unlocks the faction mission line Rebuilding Pailune; complete it in full and the camp relocates on its own.
It is not automatic like the other story trophies: the faction line has to be done separately, which is why its 9.88% sits far below the 40.60% who reach chapter 7.
That thirty-point gap is the block's useful information: for every four people who finish chapter 7, only one does the rebuild. Not because it is hard, but because the game never flags it as something to do.
And since Expert Storyteller does not close the save, the Pailune rebuild can wait until after the ending with no risk at all. What cannot wait is Operation 7.
Clearing the Pailune camps deletes the Operation 7 challenge, which Brilliant Strategist needs. Do it before resolving chapter 7 or you lose it without warning.
